What to do in one day in Lijiang Old Town?

#TravelChina

This ancient city, a World Heritage Site, is over 800 years old and nestled amidst a valley. The streets are lined with ancient wooden houses, paved with cobblestones, and are connected to a canal flowing from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The atmosphere feels like you've stepped into a period drama from a Chinese TV series. Walking around, admiring the culture and architecture here is truly beautiful. This city is a charming place, with its unique lifestyle, local attractions, and food. There are also shops that rent traditional costumes for photo opportunities. You'll often see people wearing traditional costumes taking photos along the old town. We've been to Lijiang twice and are still impressed.

📌 Interesting Activities:
- Wander around Lijiang Old Town
- Rent traditional tribal costumes and take photos at the Stone Bridge
- Shop for souvenirs, handicrafts, and handwoven fabrics from the tribal communities
- Try Yunnanese cuisine, such as rice vermicelli (cross-bridge noodles), fresh yogurt, and yak or pork bone hotpot
- Sip local tea at a traditional teahouse
- Listen to live music at night
- Observe the activities of the Naxi people
- Climb up to Lion Hill for a panoramic view of the rooftops
- Stroll through the night market

No matter how many years pass, Lijiang Old Town retains its beauty and charm. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, Lijiang is a must-visit destination.
