[Hiroshima] Miyajima's best spot ⛩ Itsukushima Shrine

Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage Site in Miyajima, Hiroshima Prefecture. ⛩
This shrine is also known as one of the Three Most Scenic Views of Japan.

A wooden torii gate stands about 16 meters tall above the sea.

In fact, the base of the torii gate is not buried in the seabed, but is supported by piles that have been driven into the ground to strengthen it and allow it to stand by its own weight.
