When I came to Onomichi...
I wanted to try "Onomichi Yaki"

So I headed to the famous restaurant "Murakami"...
I arrived a little before opening time,
but there was already a line outside...
It's not a very large restaurant, so I gave up.

While strolling around the area,
I found this place in the shopping district.

It's run by a stubborn-looking man and his wife.

Just as I was thinking about closing the shop,
Onomichi became a filming location for the NHK drama series "Teppon,"
and it became famous overnight...

Onomichi Yaki contains sandfish as its main ingredient.

The crunchy gizzards added a nice accent to this dish, making it one I'll want to eat again.
