Namba Yasaka Shrine, a power spot in Osaka Minami

Yasaka Shrine, Osaka
I went to worship here during Golden Week.
Yasaka Shrine, Osaka is famous for its unique shrine with a large and impressive lion called "Shishiden".

The history of the shrine is said to have begun during the reign of Emperor Nintoku, when an epidemic began to spread in the surrounding area, and Gozu Tenno appeared and was enshrined there.

The Shishiden is 12m high, 11m wide, and 10m deep.
It is very large and really impressive when you get up close.

It is easily accessible, just a 4-minute walk from Namba, and many people from Japan and abroad come to worship at the Shishiden when sightseeing in Osaka.

A pre-written goshuin is 500 yen.
*The pre-written one is just to prevent crowds during Golden Week, and they may write one for you normally.
