Osaka Castle, also known as "Golden Castle" or "Jincheng", is a must-visit place for me every time I visit Osaka. It is located in Osaka Castle Park in the central district of the city, with a total area of 106.7 hectares, surrounded by moats and green trees, and Nagoya Castle and Himeji Castle are the three most famous cities in Japan and were the main residences and regime centers of Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the unification of the world in 1583. Unfortunately, the castle tower, which was the main city, burned down due to a natural disaster more than 200 years ago.
The familiar Osaka Castle Tenshu Gate was rebuilt in 1931 with donations from the public. The 5 to 8 floors of the revived Tenshu Gate are the historical archives of the Toyotomi family, where you can see many precious historical and cultural properties.
Reference Transportation: Take the Subway Midosuji Line to “Honmachi” Station for 11 minutes, transfer to the Chuo Line and get off at “Tanimachi 4-chome” Station, and walk for about 19 minutes.
Tenshu Gate: Paid admission, 600 yen for adults, free for junior high school students or younger
