Shitennoji Temple is a Buddhist temple in Tennoji Ward of Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It was built in 593 by Prince Shotoku. It is considered the first official Buddhist temple in Japan and one of the oldest temples in Japan. inside the temple is a five story pagoda that stands out prominently and is a beautiful Japanese style. it is also the prototype for the Chureito pagoda in Kawaguchiko.
