The Book of Nature: Tracing Time on a Stroll Through Osaka

#OsakaItinerary
Day One
In the early morning, I walked briskly to the Osaka Museum of Natural History, located within Nagai Park, renowned for its rich natural science exhibits. Upon entering the museum, the spectacular dinosaur skeleton immediately caught my eye, as if transporting me back to the prehistoric world. I slowly explored along the timeline corridor, from the formation of the Earth to the evolution of life, with each exhibit vividly recreated through exquisite models and interactive displays. What fascinated me most was the special exhibition on the natural environment of the Osaka area, showcasing local plants, animals, and ecosystems, deepening my understanding of nature. At noon, I took a short break at the museum’s café, savoring a cup of rich hand-brewed coffee while overlooking the scenery of Nagai Park outside the window, feeling especially joyful. In the afternoon, I stepped out of the museum and strolled through Nagai Park, enjoying the lush greenery and the sounds of birds and flowers, and visited the park’s greenhouse botanical garden to admire exotic plants from around the world, concluding a day full of knowledge and beautiful sights.
Day Two
On the second day, I chose to return to Nagai Park to further explore this urban natural oasis. The morning sun bathed the park as I jogged along the track surrounding it, feeling the fresh air and morning vitality. Afterwards, I went back to the Osaka Museum of Natural History to attend a special lecture on climate change; the professional explanation deepened my awareness of the importance of environmental protection. After lunch, I visited the museum’s children’s interactive area, which, although designed for kids, also attracted adults with hands-on models and fun experimental activities. In the afternoon, I quietly read natural science books I had purchased from the museum shop, immersing myself in the pages as if walking through the exhibition halls once again. At dusk, I bid farewell to the museum and took a walk in Nagai Park under the sunset, bringing this journey filled with nature and culture to a close.
