When in Japan, how can you miss Kani Doraku! I booked it early from home. The restaurant features traditional Japanese-style decor, spacious and quiet, with private rooms and tatami areas. After seating, orders are placed per person with a set menu;

🦀 **Crab Sashimi**
The sashimi is sliced thinly enough to be translucent, fresh and tender, dancing on the tongue! Dip a little yuzu vinegar, and the umami instantly elevates 😋
🍲 **Crab Hot Pot**
The broth is simmered for 8 hours with kelp and crab shells, the golden soup so fresh it makes your eyebrows twitch! The crab leg meat is firm and springy, fully absorbing the broth’s essence, even the vegetables become precious.
🍵 **Hand-whisked Matcha Ice Cream**
Dessert is the highlight! The chef whisks matcha on the spot with a tea whisk, the ice cream balances bitterness and sweetness, the tea aroma is so rich it’s like drinking a cup of Uji Gyokuro, a perfect finish!
