Osaka Solo Trip | Revealing a Hidden Gem Map

#OsakaItinerary This solo trip to Osaka was truly rewarding! Besides work and shooting, I spent my free time exploring the city's lesser-known spots. Now, I’m sharing the amazing little shops I discovered with everyone~

Awaiya books

A community café located in Fukushima, far from the urban hustle and very quiet. The lychee soda is not only delicious but also looks great. The café has plenty of books to borrow, perfect for zoning out alone, reading, and enjoying peaceful moments.

Amadeo Coffee Shop あまでお

A breakfast spot near Umeda run by a lovely grandpa. Before 11 AM, toast with coffee or tea is only 500 yen. The beans are roasted by grandpa himself, and the toast is freshly baked with a rich aroma. Grandpa runs the shop alone, so please be patient.

FOLK Old Book Store

An independent bookstore hidden in the basement of a curry shop, with many secondhand books and magazines, plus designer merchandise. The space is small, but I spent almost an hour browsing—super happy.

Kodomo no Honya Poteto

Right next to FOLK, run by the same owner. Filled with picture books and super cute decorations and merchandise, it’s a childhood dream come true.

Nakanoshima Park

My favorite place in Osaka, away from tourists, where you can hear the sounds of nature. Walking through the park, you’ll pass the Children’s Book Forest Library and Tadao Ando’s Blue Apple, plus many art museums and libraries to explore—so romantic.

Spectacle Kitahama

A blue little building beside Nakanoshima, with second-floor window seats overlooking the river. The curry rice for lunch is delicious, and watching the bustling traffic makes for a wonderful midday break.

Embankment Coffee

A standalone café on the Nakanoshima riverbank, with riverside views from the window seats. The milk coffee is tasty, and the cinnamon cheesecake has a mild, non-overpowering cinnamon flavor.

Nakazakicho

A hidden gem neighborhood next to Umeda, with coffee shops, desserts, vintage stores, and general goods shops—great for a leisurely stroll.

Sakae Sushi

Next time you visit Osaka, don’t forget to check in at these hidden spots!
