Namba Yasaka Shrine

Located in the Namba district of Osaka, this shrine is uniquely distinguished by a large, fierce-looking lion head sculpture at the front. It stands 17 meters tall, 11 meters wide, and 7 meters deep. It is believed that the lion’s mouth can swallow away bad things, dispel evil, and bring good fortune. This has made it popular among tourists who come to pray for success in their studies or careers. Additionally, the distinctive lion sculpture, despite its fierce expression, has become a favorite photo spot for visitors to the shrine. There are also amulets available for worshippers to take home.
