Osaka

Osaka Travel Review:
A vibrant city full of delicious food, fun, and overflowing cuteness!

Hello everyone! Today, Boom will take you to a city known as
“the heart of food and fun” in Japan, which is Osaka.
A city that never sleeps, filled with smiles, warmth,
and overflowing cuteness in every corner!

Day 1: Landed and headed straight to Dotonbori!

After flying directly from Thailand to Kansai Airport, I was super excited because Osaka is a city everyone recommends as a “must-visit!”
I quickly packed my bags and took the train into the city.
Osaka Station is large and modern but easy to navigate.

The first destination was Dotonbori, an area that feels like the gathering point of lights, sounds, and delicious food. There’s the famous giant Glico sign
where you can take full-on photos—this spot is a must-have!

Not far away, I found a takoyaki (grilled octopus balls) shop with a long queue outside. I decided to try some. They were hot and fragrant, packed with tender octopus, topped with a special rich sauce that wasn’t greasy, paired with mayonnaise and sprinkled seaweed. Wow, it was so delicious I almost lost myself!

Following the tempting aroma, I found okonomiyaki—soft batter mixed with fresh vegetables, shrimp, pork, and rich sauce, served hot with a bit of mayonnaise. I ate with a smile, it was so tasty I didn’t want to stop.

Dotonbori isn’t just about savory food; there are also soft mochi sweets
with just-right sweet red bean filling and many other special treats to try.
The shops are super cute, and the staff are friendly and warm, making you feel very cozy.

Day 2: Exploring Kuromon Market and shopping at Shinsaibashi

This morning, I started at Kuromon Market, known as “Osaka’s kitchen.”
It’s a fresh market gathering fresh seafood, colorful fruits and vegetables, and famous foods from all over Japan.

Walking around, I found tiny sushi pieces freshly made by the shop owner. I tried the salmon that melted in my mouth and sweet, crispy shrimp. The more I ate, the happier I got.

Besides sushi, I also tried grilled scallops topped with a secret fragrant sauce and giant crab with very sweet meat. It felt like eating fresh seafood straight from the sea.

After a full stomach, I headed to Shinsaibashi, a shopping district full of famous brand stores and cute souvenirs! The Japanese cosmetics shops here had so many promotions I had to bring a lot home.

While walking, I stopped at a cute café serving hot Japanese green tea
with Japanese-style sweets. The warm atmosphere was perfect for a break before continuing the adventure.

Day 3: Universal Studios Japan — Ultimate fun in the world of movies

Anyone who loves amusement parks must not miss Universal Studios Japan (USJ). This place is a paradise for movie lovers and adventure seekers.

I started at the Harry Potter zone, which felt like stepping into the magical world. Everything looked so real I wanted to grab a wand and cast a spell. I tried the secret recipe butterbeer, sweet and smooth, fluffy in my mouth. It was so much fun I didn’t want to leave this zone.

There’s also the Mario Kart zone where you can race with your favorite cartoon characters and take photos with Mario in his adorable outfit. The snacks here are just as great—I tried various flavored popcorn with super cute Minion designs.

The fun here made me lose track of time. It’s truly suitable for all ages.

Day 4: Exploring Osaka Castle and cute cat cafés

Today, I headed to Osaka Castle, the symbol of Osaka city,
which has a long history and beautiful architecture.

I walked around the castle garden filled with beautiful blooming trees and flowers, feeling like I traveled back to the samurai era. From the castle tower, I saw a vast city view stretching as far as the eye can see. I took lots of photos.

Then I went to Nakazakicho, an artsy neighborhood full of cute cafés. I chose to sit at a cat café, enjoying the company of soft, friendly cats roaming around. Sipping green tea there felt very relaxing, like being at home.

Day 5: Tenjinbashi Market and chilling by the river before heading home

On the last day, I visited Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai Market,
the longest shopping street in Japan. Here, there are various shops selling food, daily goods, and cute souvenirs.

I tried crispy Japanese fried snacks, refreshing green tea, and bought some cute souvenirs to take home. The market atmosphere made me feel warm and close to the locals.

Before heading to the airport, I sat by the Osaka river sipping coffee,
watching the beautiful bridge view, my heart full of happiness and wonderful memories that Osaka gave me.

Summary of impressions from the heart

Osaka is truly a city suitable for everyone, whether you come alone, as a couple, or in a group. It offers delicious food, fun, and very charming culture.

I felt the warmth of the people, the brightness of the city,
and the deliciousness that made me want to keep eating. Osaka made me love Japan even more and want to visit many more times.

If anyone is still unsure where to travel in Japan, I sincerely recommend Osaka. It’s both delightful, cute, and full of unforgettable memories!
