Osaka

Review of traveling to Osaka, Japan:
A vibrant city, delicious food, and adorable cuteness 💖✨

Hello everyone! Today, Boom will take you on a trip to Osaka,
a city full of color, fun, and amazing food!
I’m very excited about this trip because Osaka perfectly blends traditional Japanese culture with modernity. Let’s go and experience the charm, brightness, and cuteness of Osaka!

Travel and Preparation

Fly into Kansai International Airport.
It’s very easy; there’s an express train connecting directly to downtown Osaka in under an hour. I recommend downloading the JR Pass app
or buying an ICOCA card for convenient travel on trains and buses within the city. The fares are affordable, and traveling is super easy.

Don’t forget to pack clothes suitable for the season you’re visiting. Osaka has four distinct seasons. I went during spring, with cool, comfortable weather and beautiful cherry blossoms in bloom. So cute!

Day 1: Dotonbori District — A Foodie’s Paradise

After checking into accommodation in the Namba area,
I rushed straight to Dotonbori. Dotonbori is a hotspot full of delicious food and fun, featuring the famous Glico neon sign, a landmark of Osaka.

The food here is amazing. I tried takoyaki (grilled octopus balls)
that were crispy on the outside, soft inside, with a sweet-savory sauce and rich mayonnaise. So delicious I had to buy it multiple times! Also, okonomiyaki,
a Japanese pancake loaded with vegetables and meat, big and flavorful with aromatic spices, making me feel warm inside.

I strolled through various cute shops,
filled with sweets and souvenirs, making me not want to leave at all.

Day 2: Universal Studios Japan (USJ) — A World of Dreams

On the second day, I was very excited to visit Universal Studios Japan.
It’s not far from the city center, about a 15-20 minute train ride. I bought a Fast Pass in advance to skip the lines and enjoy the rides leisurely.

My favorite zone was Harry Potter. It was spectacular, like stepping into a magical world. I tried Butterbeer,
a sweet and fragrant drink that’s very smooth, and also played Mario Kart
in the Super Nintendo World zone, having so much fun I lost track of time.

Day 3: Shopping at Shinsaibashi and Cute Cafes

Shinsaibashi is a popular shopping district in Osaka.
I enjoyed shopping for cute souvenirs to take home,
and stopped by a super cute Japanese-style café. The animal-shaped latte art was adorable, and the soft cake was so heartwarming.

Day 4: Day Trip to Kyoto

Osaka is very close to Kyoto, so I took a day trip there. I visited Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine,
with its endless rows of red torii gates. I walked up the mountain to enjoy a relaxed view of Kyoto in a very peaceful atmosphere.

Then I strolled around the Gion district, filled with traditional Japanese houses. I was lucky to see geishas and maikos walking by, so cute!

Day 5: Kuromon Ichiba Market — Fresh Seafood

Kuromon Ichiba Market is a famous fresh market full of fresh seafood and various foods. I tried crispy tempura shrimp, grilled scallops, and fresh sushi. The market was lively,
with people chatting and the delicious aroma of food making it a delightful tasting walk.

Tips for Traveling in Osaka
• Use ICOCA or Suica cards for convenience
• Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll walk a lot
• Download a translation app; it helps a lot
• Bring your own cloth bag; Japan doesn’t give out free bags
• Don’t forget to try Osaka’s must-have takoyaki and okonomiyaki!

Summary of Impressions

Osaka is a city that has it all—culture, fun,
and delicious food. I was impressed with every place I visited and came home with lots of beautiful photos. The atmosphere and people here are very lovely and warm.
If you want a happy and fun trip to Japan, don’t miss Osaka!
