🇯🇵✨ “First time in Osaka, my heart is pounding like there are butterflies fluttering in my stomach.”
This trip started with the thought, “I want to go to Japan in a chill way, no rush, no tight plans,” and the name “Osaka” immediately popped into my head. It’s a city that has the lively vibe of Tokyo, the charm of Kyoto, and delicious food that’s hard to beat 🍙🍜🎏
So, I gathered my courage and booked a solo ticket, but my heart never felt lonely because I was determined to capture cute moments to share with everyone~ 🧸
⸻
🌸🛬 Day 1: We’ve arrived, Osaka!
After a long flight filled with anticipation, we finally landed at Kansai Airport! The weather is a bit chilly but so refreshing. Taking a deep breath, I felt like a Japanese girl in a drama ☁️💭
I took the train into the city and chose to stay near Shinsaibashi because it’s convenient to walk to Dotonbori. After unpacking, I didn’t wait a second! Off to find the legendary “Glico Sign”~ I ran to take a photo posing with my arms raised just like the sign, then jumped for joy quietly, “I’m really in Japan!!”
Walking along the Dotonbori canal, the aroma of takoyaki floated over. No hesitation—I lined up right away 🐙 Hot and crispy on the outside, soft and melting inside, it felt like a party in my mouth 🍢

🎢🌟 Day 2: Dream day – USJ, here we come!
Woke up early without an alarm because today is Universal Studios Japan 💥👒 I have to say this is the highlight of the trip, and my excitement is a perfect 10 out of 10!
Entering the Wizarding World of Harry Potter zone, I almost cried. The smell of butterbeer floated in the air along with cheers from Hogwarts fans 🧙♂️ The Forbidden Journey ride was so fun I wanted to go again. I even bought a wand to wave around when I’m stressed, haha.
Next, I went to the most anticipated zone in my life, Super Nintendo World 🎮🍄 It’s the real-life world of Mario! I hit blocks and shouted “It’s me! Mario!” without any shame. The staff uniforms were as cute as NPCs in the game.
In the afternoon, I played Mario Kart, which felt like racing in a virtual world. It was so fun I got dizzy but couldn’t stop smiling 😊💫 Before leaving, I bought a Yoshi hat to wear while strolling around the park. Everyone smiled at me, and some even asked to take pictures. So adorable!

🧸🍵 Day 3: Chill day, recharging the soul
After a heavy day yesterday, today I’m going sweet and café-style~ Started the day with a walk at Osaka Castle, a grand castle surrounded by yellow and red autumn leaves 🍁🕊️
While walking, I found an old-fashioned Japanese sweets shop by the roadside. I stopped to try red bean mochi, warm and fragrant, paired with hot tea—it was so heartwarming 🍵✨
In the afternoon, I took the train to Nakazakicho, a neighborhood full of cafés~ There are vintage, minimalistic, very Japanese-style cafés, and even a cat café! I chose a café decorated with dolls and old books, feeling like I was in the movie “Your Name” 🩷
The most impressive thing was a cake that looked like a cloud! Fluffy and soft, it melted in my mouth, making me smile until my cheeks hurt 🍰☁️
⸻
👜🧸 Day 4: Unlimited shopping spree!
Osaka is a city perfect for wandering without a real destination. Today I walked from Shinsaibashi to Namba, exploring cute shops along the way. Anyone who loves knick-knacks will scream with joy at Daiso, CanDo, and Donki like me for sure!
Another secret spot is Orange Street, a fashion street with handmade shops and adorable home decor. I found a fabric bag embroidered with a Japanese cat and bought a hand-drawn postcard to send to myself in the future 🐾
In the evening, I stopped by Shinsekai, enjoyed the view of Tsutenkaku Tower, and ate kushikatsu skewers dipped in sauce together 🍢 But there’s a rule: you can only dip once, no double dipping! (Very strict, haha)
The nighttime atmosphere of Shinsekai is charming in its own way, like stepping into a Japanese cartoon 🎏🎇
⸻
🌙🥹 Day 5: Time to go back… but my heart stays here
The last morning was quietly sad. I dragged my suitcase along the same streets I walked every day, stopped at a convenience store to buy onigiri and banana milk (the best in my life!), then sat on a bench by the roadside like someone who didn’t want to go home 🥹🍌🍙
I said goodbye to the Glico sign with a warm heart and wrote a postcard to myself:
“Thank you for daring to step out and finding true happiness in a small city called Osaka.”
⸻
💖📎 Sweet summary:
• Osaka is a lovely, warm city with culture, food, and kind people
• Perfect for those who really want to relax but also want some fun to recharge life
• No need to visit every spot, just having “small happiness” along the way is enough 🍃
⸻
For anyone hesitating whether to go… I say, go!
You’ll fall in love with Osaka every day just like I do~ 🌷🗾✨
