Osaka Travel Review:
A city full of charm, delicious food, and unforgettable fun 💖✨
Hello everyone! Today, Boom will take you on a trip to Osaka, a city that is more than just Japan’s third-largest city. It’s a city full of color, excitement, and the smiles of its people that make you feel like it’s your second home. Plus, it’s a paradise for food lovers too.
⸻
Day 1: Dotonbori – The hub of delicious food and Osaka’s vibrant lights and sounds 🌈🍢
After landing at Kansai Airport, we took a short train ride into the city and arrived at “Dotonbori,” a must-visit area for anyone coming to Osaka! Just walking in feels like stepping into a world of neon signs and lively chatter everywhere. Boom strolled around this area, where small takoyaki stalls line both sides of the street. Of course, we couldn’t miss trying the crispy takoyaki filled with big pieces of octopus, drizzled with sweet sauce and mayonnaise—it was a perfect match and so delicious that I wanted to eat several more servings.
There’s also okonomiyaki (Japanese pancakes) shops where you can choose your own ingredients. I picked shrimp and sliced pork, and the rich flavor with the fragrant sauce was so satisfying that I couldn’t stop smiling.
Walking around there was so much fun, with so many food options it was hard to choose, and the lively atmosphere made it perfect for a first-time visit to Osaka.

Day 2: Visit Osaka Castle and Sakura Garden 🌸🏯
On the second morning, I woke up early to visit “Osaka Castle,” the city’s symbol. When I went, it was late spring, so I got to see cherry blossoms in full bloom with soft pink flowers all around the castle. The atmosphere was very romantic, like being in a fairy tale.
We climbed to the top of the castle to enjoy a panoramic view of Osaka city stretching as far as the eye can see, with rivers and tall buildings interspersed. It was a beautiful and peaceful sight. The castle also houses a museum where you can learn about Osaka’s history and samurai culture, giving a full experience of knowledge and impression.
⸻
Day 3: Ultimate fun at Universal Studios Japan 🎢🎉
Today, I had a blast at Universal Studios Japan, or USJ. Anyone who loves amusement parks must not miss this! I was so excited the moment I stepped into the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” zone, wandering through Hogsmeade village and admiring the incredibly realistic Hogwarts castle. It felt like stepping into a magical world.
There were also many other fun rides, including dinosaur zones, Minion zones, and thrilling rides. Everything was very well done. My friends and I laughed and screamed with joy all day long, forgetting all our tiredness.
⸻
Day 4: Exciting shopping at Shinsaibashi and Kuromon Ichiba Market 🛍️🍣
This morning, we went shopping at “Shinsaibashi,” a long shopping street filled with cute fashion stores, cafes, and many charming souvenir shops. I bought cosmetic bags and various Japanese snacks as gifts to take home.
Then we visited “Kuromon Ichiba,” Osaka’s famous fresh market. It’s a paradise for seafood lovers, with fresh fish, grilled shrimp, shellfish, crab, and fish to sample to your heart’s content. I tried fresh sushi made right in front of me by the shop owner. The sweet and fragrant taste was incredibly delicious and made me so happy.
⸻
Day 5: Cute cafes and tasting Japanese sweets 🍡🍵
Today, we strolled around the “Namba” area, which is full of adorable cafes. I found a traditional Japanese sweets shop famous for its perfectly sweet dango paired with rich matcha green tea. It was the most delightful snack.
Walking through small alleys, I took stylish photos with coffee shops and colorful walls. The atmosphere here was very relaxing and warm, perfect for resting after a tiring journey.
⸻
Day 6: Kaiyukan Aquarium and Tempozan Marketplace 🐠🌊
Today, we visited Osaka Aquarium “Kaiyukan,” one of the largest aquariums in the world. I was very excited to see the world’s largest whale shark up close, along with colorful fish, stingrays, and many other adorable sea creatures.
After exploring the aquarium, we relaxed and enjoyed fresh seafood at Tempozan Marketplace. The seaside atmosphere with cool breezes made eating delicious food while watching the ocean view incredibly enjoyable.
⸻
Day 7: Shinsekai district with classic vibes and delicious ramen 🍜🎏
Before leaving, we stopped by “Shinsekai,” which still retains the nostalgic atmosphere of old Japan. We explored local restaurants and handmade craft shops. I tried Osaka-style ramen with a rich, fragrant, and well-balanced flavor that warmed my heart after eating.
We also walked around Tsutenkaku Tower, the landmark of this area, taking photos and experiencing traditional Japanese vibes. It was a very memorable way to end the Osaka trip.
