Osaka

Osaka…🇯🇵
A city that many often think of as secondary compared to Tokyo or Kyoto, but for me, Osaka is something much more special. It’s not just a city with convenient transportation or delicious food; it’s a city full of life, warmth, friendliness, and fun that you can’t easily find anywhere else.

I remember the first time I arrived in Osaka, I was impressed by the public transportation system here. The subway and JR trains are very convenient. The signs are clearly in English, so even if you’re not good at Japanese, you can travel comfortably. Plus, the ICOCA card I bought is easy to tap, so I didn’t have to worry about buying tickets each time, which saved a lot of time.

The food is what really keeps Osaka in my heart. The takoyaki here is amazing—round, hot balls with a slightly crispy outside and a soft, smooth inside with fresh octopus pieces, topped with sweet sauce and mayonnaise, sprinkled with dancing dried fish flakes. This is food I could eat every day without getting tired of it. And the okonomiyaki here is even better, rich in flavor and packed with ingredients like pork, shrimp, and fresh vegetables. Eating it feels warm, like having a homemade meal made with love.

Another place I really like is Kuromon Market. It’s a paradise for food lovers, with fresh seafood like sashimi and grilled oysters, as well as cute Japanese sweets that make you want to take them home. Walking around tasting everything is so enjoyable that you lose track of time.

The people of Osaka are very kind. Even though my Japanese isn’t good, everyone tries to help with smiles and gestures, pointing the way or explaining things in a cute way, making me feel warm and safe.

The city’s atmosphere isn’t too hectic; it’s lively but not stressful. Walking along the shopping streets of Dotonbori or Shinsaibashi, filled with lights and laughter, the crowd is lively but orderly, clean, and polite, making sightseeing fun and comfortable.

I like wandering around Osaka without a plan. Sometimes getting a little lost turns into a fun adventure, discovering small coffee shops with the aroma of fresh coffee or cute dessert shops beautifully decorated, like little gifts hidden in every corner of the city.

Osaka isn’t just a tourist city; it’s a city that makes me feel like I’m coming home, living simply and full of small daily joys.

If anyone is hesitating about where to travel in Japan, I wholeheartedly recommend Osaka because it’s full of warmth, delicious food, and people ready to turn ordinary days into wonderful memories.

Osaka is a city where you don’t need much planning—just walk, eat, and soak in the chill atmosphere, and that’s enough.
This place will make you feel warm, like truly coming home.
