Osaka… a city that makes your heart soft like mochi 🍡
Japan is a dream country for many, including myself.
And when I had the chance to visit Osaka, a charming city in western Japan, my heart raced as if I were about to meet someone I’ve secretly liked for a very long time! 🤍
Osaka is a city full of liveliness, cuteness, and deliciousness that doesn’t care about your waistline at all 🥹
I started the trip excited the moment the plane touched down on the runway.
Kansai Airport is spacious, clean, and traveling into the city is super easy—just buy a train ticket and you can go straight to the city center~
My first impression of Osaka was “the weather is so nice.”
A cool breeze hits your face, making you want to twirl around in a flowy dress 😂 I don’t know if it’s because of the nice weather or the overall cute atmosphere,
but just walking past convenience stores made me smile nonstop. The shops have so many cute things—snacks, cups, dolls, even socks that are too cute to resist!
I stayed in the Shinsaibashi area because it’s convenient for travel and close to shopping spots! If you’re a fashion lover or like adorable little things,
this place is a true paradise 🛍️ Just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel is Dotonbori, which is already amazing during the day, but at night… wow! Hundreds of neon signs blink competing with each other, and there’s a river flowing through the city, creating an amazing atmosphere~
Of course, I can’t not mention the Glico sign, the one with the running man raising his hands in joy, which everyone visiting Osaka must pose in front of at least once 😆 If you don’t take a photo there, you’re missing out! Plus, the area is full of food stalls. I followed the smell until I found a takoyaki shop
with a line of about ten people… so I joined the line without hesitation 555
Hot takoyaki with soft batter and full squid filling, topped with sweet and savory sauce and dancing dried fish flakes is heavenly! Just the first bite told me I was in the right place~ If you think you’ve had delicious takoyaki in Thailand,
I must say the real deal in Osaka is on another level 🐙💕
After eating, I strolled along the Dotonbori river, feeling the cool breeze,
lightly smiling, with shops brightly lit and riverboats to enjoy.
The atmosphere was so good… it made me want to freeze time right there 🥹
Another place I fell in love with was Osaka Castle,
standing tall in a wide park like a princess in a fairy tale 🌸
Around the castle are big trees that change colors with the seasons.
If you visit during the red leaf or cherry blossom season, it’s like walking inside a postcard~ Just walking, breathing fresh air, and looking at the castle made me feel peaceful 🍃🏯
And of course… this trip wouldn’t be complete without going to Universal Studios Japan (USJ)!!! I have to say this was the highlight that made my heart swell with joy 😍 As soon as I entered The Wizarding World of Harry Potter zone, tears almost came out—my childhood dream came rushing back!
Everything was perfect, like stepping right into the movie.
The Three Broomsticks / Hogwarts Castle / and cold Butterbeer,
which looks amazing in photos no matter how you take them. Harry Potter fans must not miss this!
For Mario fans~ get ready to scream in the Super Nintendo World zone with its bright colors and lively characters jumping all around~ 🍄👒 The atmosphere there is so cute it’s heartbreaking!
Another activity I loved was wearing a yukata to stroll around!
I chose a pastel cherry blossom pattern, and the shop helped style my hair and put on the obi, so I was ready for photos right away 📸 Wherever I went, people said,
“Kawaii~” and I couldn’t stop smiling. It felt so good, like I had stepped into my favorite Japanese drama 🌸
In the evenings, I often walked through small alleys full of dessert shops and souvenir stores. I found unusual treats like mochi with unique fillings, icy green tea drinks, and cute stationery that I couldn’t resist buying every time 😂
The 100 yen shops are truly heaven. There are so many items that make you wonder how they can be so cheap and cute! From daily necessities, home decor, snacks, to tiny souvenirs perfect for giving to friends,
I just wanted to buy everything without thinking too much 😅🛍️
Throughout the trip, what impressed me most wasn’t just the places,
but the “people.” Most Japanese people in Osaka are friendly,
smiling, and always willing to help when there’s a problem. Even though my Japanese isn’t good, everyone tried to communicate with cute tones and gestures,
making me feel like… this city is warm like home 🥰
Finally, before leaving, I stopped by a big department store to buy souvenirs. My bag was heavy and full, but my heart was also full because I got so many cute things,
from unusual Japanese snacks, green tea KitKats, red bean-filled fish-shaped cakes, cat-themed postcards, to adorable water bottles I couldn’t resist 💼💕
This Osaka trip… was not just a journey far from home, but felt like rediscovering small happiness that I might have forgotten how important it is. Every step I took, every bite I ate, every person I met, blended into warm memories I want to keep forever 🌷
And if anyone asks me, “How is Osaka?” I would smile and say…
“It’s a city as cute as soft mochi with a heart inside.”
💗🍙✨
