🌸✨ A cute review of traveling in Osaka 🧸
A city that warms your heart with every step 🍙🎏
If there’s any city that can make us smile all the time while walking on the streets, it must be “Osaka,” a charming city in the Kansai region of Japan filled with delicious food, kind people, delightful tourist spots, and a simple, adorable Japanese vibe 🫶🏻
Osaka may not be as luxurious as Tokyo or as romantic as Kyoto, but it has a certain charm that makes us fall in love without realizing it, like someone softly whispering, “You can stay here as long as you want.”
⸻
🎇 The beginning of the impression: Namba – Dotonbori
The moment you get off the subway and walk into the “Dotonbori” area, it feels like entering a world that never sleeps. Neon lights, amazing shop signs (especially the Glico man sign), lively crowds, and the fragrant smell of takoyaki hitting your nose—full Osaka vibes! 🏮✨
Strolling along the Dotonbori canal at night feels magical. The water reflects sparkling lights, and if you wear a soft coat while walking, your heart will unexpectedly swell with joy 🍂
And yes… food! Osaka is famous as the “kitchen of Japan.” Hot takoyaki, crispy outside and soft inside, okonomiyaki on a hot griddle, or kushikatsu skewers dipped in creamy sauce—so delicious it leaves you speechless 😋
⸻
🛍️ The heart-melting shopping street: Shinsaibashi-suji
This area is a shopping street that makes your heart beat fast, almost afraid your wallet will cry 555 😅 There are Japanese brand clothing stores, bag shops, stationery stores, cute cafes, and even adorable dessert shops.
We got lost in a small stationery shop with Sanrio washi tape, cloud-patterned envelopes, cat-patterned ink pens—everything was so kawaii we wanted to buy the whole store 🐾💌
After walking until our legs were tired, we stopped at a roadside cafe and ordered melon soda with ice cream served with a heart-shaped spoon. Cafes in Osaka love decorating with small dolls and vintage knickknacks, giving a super warm and cute feeling ☕🍧
⸻
🎢 The dream amusement park: Universal Studios Japan
Scream loudly in the fantasy world of “Universal Studios Japan”! Entering the gate feels like stepping into a cartoon world with Mario, Minions, and Harry Potter—all zones are here!
Super Nintendo World feels so real it almost made us cry. Riding the roller coaster made us scream with twisted mouths but so much fun 😭🎮 Mario hats and wristbands are sold all over the zone, and passing by anyone instantly makes you game buddies.
Holding a magic wand and walking through Diagon Alley, casting a spell that really makes a box float—oh my~ my heart melted 🪄🍻
⸻
⛩️ A gentle peaceful corner: Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine
On days when you want to rest your heart from the chaos, we recommend visiting this ancient red shrine. The atmosphere is quiet, surrounded by big trees, and there’s a beautiful curved red wooden bridge that looks like a fairy tale 🧚🏻♀️
If you want to pray for love, work, or health, you can write your wishes on an “ema” wooden plaque and hang it at the prayer corner. At that moment, a cool breeze gently blows as if the gods are truly listening to your requests 💌🌿
⸻
🦐 The ultimate foodie market: Kuromon Ichiba
We call this market the “weakness of food lovers” because it’s full of fresh Japanese food—sashimi, marbled beef, grilled shellfish, Alaskan crab skewers, some grilled fresh right there 🦀🔥
Walking by a sushi shop with standing omakase, we had to try it~ The moment it entered our mouths… eyes wide open! Sweet, tender, melting in the mouth, almost brought tears 😂💖
There are cute foods like heart-shaped tamagoyaki, bear-faced rice balls, or even cold cantaloupe on a stick that make you feel like you’re in a cartoon.
⸻
🎨 The super chic youth corner: America Mura
This is the land of creativity! Vintage clothing stores, handmade shops, secret cafes playing Lo-fi music all day, decorated with 90s posters 🎧🌈
Graffiti on the walls makes for great photos, and you’ll see lots of stylish Japanese youth. Walking around with a smile because everyone clearly has their own unique style.
We bought a custom embroidered tote bag from a small shop along with dog-themed stickers hand-drawn by the shop owner on every sheet 🐶
⸻
🏯 Osaka Castle – elegant and heartwarming
The last but not least spot is “Osaka Castle,” located in a vast park surrounded by a moat. The atmosphere is very shady, especially during cherry blossom season or autumn leaves 🍁🌸
The white and gold castle contrasts beautifully with the clear blue sky. Inside, there’s an exhibition to learn about Japanese history, and you can go up to the top to see the view of Osaka city.
⸻
🎀 Memories kept in the heart
Osaka isn’t a flashy city, but it’s a city with “sincerity” hidden in every corner, every laugh, every smile of the people passing by, and every dish served with care 💕
If anyone is looking for a trip that’s not just about “traveling” but also about “feeling,” Osaka is truly the answer. It’s a city that doesn’t need heavy makeup but is still beautiful in its own way 💖

💌 My summary of Osaka in my heart
Osaka is a close friend who invites us to eat snacks, walk around laughing loudly, watch the sunset by the canal, and hug us when we’re tired. It may not be flashy, but it’s the place we think of most often on ordinary days 🍵🌤️
If I get the chance… I will definitely go back to Osaka again :)
