Future of Life｜A Journey into the Future of Life

At the Osaka Expo, the "Future of Life" pavilion offers a profound dialogue on life, spanning from birth to death, and from humans to machines. The pavilion begins with the striking red wall inscribed with "いのちの歩み (Journey of Life)," guiding visitors through a journey that bridges tradition and the future, prompting them to rethink the essence of life.

From kimono-clad dolls and school uniform robots to bionic robots with exposed skeletons, each exhibit symbolizes different eras and forms of life. These are not mere cold, lifeless displays; they narrate the story of human history, culture, and technological evolution.

🌱 A robot sitting on a grassy field sparks reflections on whether technology can coexist harmoniously with nature. Meanwhile, a mysterious shadow installation merges human and robot silhouettes, posing the question: "When the soul separates from the body, are we still human?"

At the end of the exhibition, a thought-provoking quote from Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro resonates: "We can design our own future and live the life we desire." Here, death is no longer seen as an endpoint but as a transformation and continuation.
