This time, I will introduce the food at the Osaka Expo 🙆♀️
Here are the top 3 picks that I’m glad I tried!
[First Image]
① [Maneki Foods] Anniversary Makunouchi Bento
🏷 Price: 1,620 yen (tax included)
📍 Location: Next to Sushiro, "MANEKI FUTURE STUDIO JAPAN"
🍱 Features:
A limited edition revival of the Makunouchi bento by Maneki Foods, the creator of Japan’s first ekiben (station bento). Packed with traditional side dishes like conger eel, tamagoyaki, and simmered vegetables, this luxurious box lets you savor Japan’s ekiben culture. Perfect as a souvenir too!
📝 It was great to have a proper meal inside the Expo at a reasonable price 🥺 The round Kodomo-meshi was about 1,000 yen, so the prices are quite fair! However, it’s takeout only, so in the midsummer heat, moving to the area under the large roof ring was a bit tough 😭

② [Kappa Ramen Honpo] Tonkotsu Soy Sauce Ramen + Fried Rice Set
🏷 Price: 1,600 yen (tax included)
📍 Location: Food Market Zone (West Food Court)
🍜 Features:
The popular long-established Kansai ramen shop "Kappa Ramen" has a stall at the Expo! The rich and bold tonkotsu soy sauce broth pairs with chewy medium-thick noodles. The fragrant fried rice set makes for a very satisfying volume. Recommended for those who want a hearty meal!
📝 It’s relatively uncrowded even at lunchtime, and with air conditioning, it’s a relief in the intense heat ♡ I drank a lot of water 🙇 The fourth image shows the cold menu!

③ [Luxembourg Pavilion]
Hot Dog (with Sausage and Sauerkraut)
🏷 Price: 2,100 yen (tax included)
📍 Location: Food stand inside the Luxembourg National Pavilion
⚠️ You can only buy this if you enter the Luxembourg Pavilion, so timing is tricky 😓 But if you get in, definitely try it!
🌭 Features:
A hot dog filled with authentic sausage and pickled cabbage (sauerkraut). Crispy and juicy flavor, perfect as a light meal or with beer. A stylish snack typical of Luxembourg.
📝 The sausage is large and the bun is small, so it’s perfect for women 😀
It might be a bit unsatisfying for men!
