Osaka, Nara, Uji 3-day, 2-night trip review: City, tradition, and nature all at once

!

The first day started in Osaka’s Dotonbori. Took a photo in front of the Glico sign, and since they said you must try takoyaki and okonomiyaki, I stood in line to eat them. The atmosphere was full of energy, and it really felt like a trip, which I loved. In the evening, I went up to the Abeno Harukas observation deck to see the night view and took a peaceful walk in Tennoji Park.

On the second day, I went to Nara. I played with the deer at Nara Park and saw the Todai-ji Great Buddha Hall, which looked different from the photos. Holding deer crackers, the deer swarmed me in an instant… It was scary but cute, cute but a little frightening at the same time. Still, it’s an unforgettable memory!

The third day was in Uji. It was quiet and peaceful, truly a healing experience. Byodo-in felt like stepping into an ink painting, and while walking along the Uji River, I stopped by a Uji tea dessert café where the matcha parfait was the best. If you’re a matcha lover, Uji is a must-visit.

This course let me experience the city’s vibrancy, the deer’s cuteness, and the tranquility filled with the scent of tea. All three places were different and wonderful, so I want to come back on this route again next time.
