Osaka|Osaka Castle Main Tower

A visit to Osaka wouldn't be complete without exploring Osaka Castle Park. Surrounded by moats, the castle tower stands majestically at the center, offering a spectacular view even from afar. While the exterior of the main tower is ornate, it is actually a modern reconstruction, lacking the weight of historical authenticity.

That said, this place holds countless stories: the rise and fall of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the power struggles of the Tokugawa clan, and the turbulent events of Japan's Sengoku period all unfolded here.

However, reality can be harsh—Osaka's summer is unbearably hot! I couldn't muster the energy to climb up to the main tower and had to retreat. On my way back, though, I stumbled upon the Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters, famously featured in 'Detective Conan,' which was a delightful surprise. These spots are all quite close to each other, making it easy to visit them on foot.

⏰ Summer tip: Stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun, or you'll feel like you're being roasted alive.
