Exhibition Overview
From September 14 to December 1, 2024, the Nakanoshima Museum of Art will host the first large-scale solo exhibition in 16 years by Osaka-born contemporary artist Chiharu Shiota. Using a variety of media, including string art installations, paintings, drawings, and videos, the exhibition explores "connections" through three "eyes": "I," "eye," and "ai." Set in a massive space (approximately 1,700 square meters, with a 6-meter ceiling), the world of the work resonates with the red thread.

Recommended Points
A stunning spatial experience: Six large installations intertwined with red threads create a immersive experience that allows you to experience the senses of absence and connection.
Encounter iconic works: Works such as "Internal Line," which captivates the eye from the entrance, the delicate "Circling Memories," and "From Home to Home" are all deeply moving.
An exhibition structure connected by "I, EYE, and ai": A unique exhibition structure that visually experiences the "awareness of connections" born out of the pandemic.
