However, the prices in these areas tend to be higher, and the shops are scattered, lacking the concentrated shopping experience. For shopaholics who want to shop till they drop, the Umeda district in Osaka is undoubtedly the most convenient and enjoyable choice!

💞 Why We Recommend It: This area is home to numerous cartoon IP stores, electronics shops, beauty stores, drugstores, lifestyle goods stores, clothing shops, trendy brand outlets, luxury boutiques, and a wide variety of restaurants! Cartoon IP stores include Crayon Shin-chan, Nintendo, Jiikawa (I’ll write a separate post about this😍), and even the exclusive store for Maimai, the mascot of this year’s grand World Expo, is located here.

Additionally, I personally recommend a cake shop that you shouldn’t miss for an afternoon tea break in Umeda!
