Morning
Start the day by visiting Kizu Market.
Have breakfast, eat sushi or sashimi, and stroll around the market for a snack.
The market is open from 4:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Getting there: Take the train to Daikokucho or Namba Station, then walk for 10 minutes.
⸻
Morning-Noon
Head to Osaka Castle.
There's a museum inside, with an observation deck.
Open: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Admission fee applies).
If you're visiting in February, don't forget to admire the plum blossoms in the castle garden.
If you come during cherry blossom season, this is a beautiful spot for cherry blossom viewing.
Getting there: From Kizu Market, take the train to Morinomiya or Tanimachi 4-chome Station, then walk for about 10 minutes.
⸻
Afternoon: Stop by Hokoku Shrine, located in the castle garden. It's quiet and not crowded, with a large torii gate and a statue of General Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
It's a fun place to take photos. You'll walk around the entire area in under an hour and a half.
⸻
Evening: Continue to Dotonbori.
The evening highlight is the canal lights and the Glico Man sign.
There's a wide selection of food. There's also the Tonbori River Cruise (about 20 minutes) to admire the lights along both sides of the canal.
Most shops are open late, but it's recommended to arrive before 6 PM to enjoy the food and photography to your heart's content.
Getting there: Take the subway to Namba Station, and walk for 5-10 minutes to reach Dotonbori Canal.
