Luotuoling, located within the Yellow River Scenic Area, is 1.5 kilometers west of the Wulong Peak Scenic Area. Named Luotuoling because of its camel-like shape, the mountaintop boasts a striking statue of Dayu (Great Yu) on its main peak. Standing 10 meters tall and weighing 150 tons, the statue's clear outlines and vivid facial expressions bring it to life, vividly recreating Dayu's heroic demeanor during his flood control efforts.
Wearing a conical hat and coarse clothes, Dayu holds a plow in his right hand, his left arm waving, his robe sleeves billowing in the wind. His eyes are piercing, his spirit high, as if calling on people to fight against nature, promote benefits and eliminate harm, and benefit the people. From a distance, Dayu's statue is tall and imposing. In heavy rain and fog, the rain, fog, and river waves merge into one, making him even more majestic and lifelike.
The statue base is made of coarse hemp stone, with a stele embedded in the middle, engraved with words such as " Yu meets the princes " , " Yu marries Tushan " , " Yu suppresses the dragon " , and " Hong returns to the sea " ; on the back of the stele is an inscription written by the famous history and geography professor Tan Qixiang, " Yu marries Yu, Yu's birth begins in Huaiyuan Tushan " .
