Azerbaijan, located between Eastern Europe and Western Asia, boasts a pavilion comprised of seven arches, boasting a beautiful, pure white facade. The pavilion's design is inspired by "The Seven Beauties," a famous 12th-century epic poem by the Azerbaijani poet and philosopher Nizami Ganjavi. Designed by Swiss architectural firm Bellprat Partner in collaboration with Eleven, the pavilion is centered around the theme of "connection," and features sculptures depicting various ethnic dances at the entrance. Inside, several 360-degree panoramic screens showcase Azerbaijan's attractions and traditional customs. An adjacent restaurant serves Azerbaijani delicacies and desserts rarely seen in Japan.
I was so impressed after my visit that I decided to visit the region.
