Day 1 Oslo Opera House

When visiting Oslo, you must see the Oslo Opera House, one of Norway's most iconic modern buildings and the headquarters of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. It was designed by the Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta and officially opened in April 2008.
The opera house is made of white Italian marble and glass, resembling an "iceberg" or "glacier" rising from the Oslo Fjord. Its sloping roof allows visitors to walk on it and enjoy panoramic views of the city and fjord.
The building emphasizes public engagement, with the roof and facade serving as open areas where citizens can freely walk, embodying the design philosophy of "joy with the people."
