Meet chipmunks in Otaru! Tenguyama Chipmunk Park

Chipmunk Garden is located at the summit of Tenguyama, a landmark of Otaru City. They sell sunflower seeds in the garden, and when you put them in the feeding area, the chipmunks gather around. They are quite used to people, and they will happily snack on them even if they are right in front of you. Since most of the wild squirrels you see in Hokkaido are Hokkaido squirrels, there may be very few opportunities to interact with chipmunks.

They are so cute. You could stay there for hours.
