Otaru Spring Snow ~ Tenguyama Observation Deck and Tenguyama Shrine

From Otaru Station, you can take a bus (9 Tenguyama Ropeway Line, fare ¥240) to Tenguyama Ropeway Station, which takes about 15 minutes to arrive. Then take the cable car (round-trip fare ¥1800) and arrive at the observation deck in about five minutes.

Unfortunately, the snow and the fog made the visibility poor, and the coastline was not very clear. However, when you walk into the snow-covered Tenguyama Shrine, the woods and the shrine torii half-submerged in the snow are like entering a fairy tale world. The shrine under the snow is really dreamy.

My fingers were hurt by the cold wind, so I quickly hid in the coffee shop on the top of the mountain and visited the Tengu exhibition hall. After 6 o'clock, the street lights at the foot of the mountain were lit up one after another and I finally took pictures of the night view. The night view of the whole Otaru was unobstructed. It is worthy of being one of the three best night views in Hokkaido.
