Otaru Spring Snow~ A must-visit in Otaru is the Takino Dining Hall at the Sankaku Market.

Located next to Otaru Station, the small market is packed with various seafood shops along its narrow passageways. The live seafood looks very fresh, and many tourists' favorite king crabs are still lively. The seafood restaurants are usually crowded with tourists, and the wait time can be over 1 to 2 hours.

Since I was staying nearby, I went to the Takino Dining Hall at the Sankaku Market before lunch to get a number ticket for ordering. As expected, the wait time was 75 minutes, so I took a walk around the nearby area. Using the QR code on the Takino Dining Hall number ticket, I checked the waiting status and quickly walked back to the Sankaku Market just in time for my turn.

I ordered the assorted seafood bowl (¥3520). The fish was crisp and sweet, and the sea urchin was delicious. I also ordered a bottle of Otaru sake to go with it, and I was very satisfied. Indeed, the famous restaurant is worth the wait.
