Reasons to Visit Hokkaido

Hokkaido, Japan, is one of my favorite travel destinations! Let me share all the reasons why you should visit Hokkaido in winter! ❤️

1. Snow Festival
The 2025 Sapporo Snow Festival was held from February 4 to February 11, lasting a total of 8 days! The festival features amazing snow sculptures that are a delight to see! ❤️ It was so fascinating and fun! ❤️

2. Seafood
Hokkaido's seafood is incredibly fresh and delicious! The sushi was absolutely amazing, and personally, the salmon roe (ikura) was so fresh and tasty! I highly recommend it! 🤤❤️

3. Hot Springs
Most hotels or ryokans in Sapporo have large communal baths! Enjoying a hot spring during the cold winter was such a treat! I especially recommend spending a night in Otaru to leisurely explore the area! ❤️👍🏻
