Chateau de Khao Yai, a nice place to stay in Khao Yai

Follow in the footsteps of the famous Netflix series "Sueb Sandan" by visiting Chateau de Khao Yai, a large hotel with expansive grounds. The buildings are spaced apart, offering a sense of privacy. On our first day, it rained continuously, and the misty scenery was breathtaking.
Check-in is at the Chateau building at the front. Note that there is no elevator, so you’ll need to use the stairs, which might not be ideal if you have a lot of luggage. We stayed in the "Chao Sua" room, a spacious 2-bedroom suite with high ceilings. The room felt a bit dated, but it featured Slumberland beds, a hairdryer, a refrigerator, and complimentary bottled water. The flooring is wooden, and the lighting is very dim, leaning towards darkness. The TV had very few channels, likely due to poor signal reception, and the air conditioning was somewhat tricky to adjust. The bathroom included a large jacuzzi tub and a private steam sauna.
Our package included a complimentary cocktail from 6 PM to 7 PM. For dinner, we chose a set meal included in the package. The food was generally delicious, but the experience took a dramatic turn when the power went out, leaving us dining in the dark. It was hard to imagine how dark the room would be. After some time, the power still hadn’t returned, and we had to retrieve something from the room, which was a nerve-wracking experience. Eventually, the power came back, but the air conditioning in the second bedroom and living room remained non-functional. The staff resolved the issue by moving us to a new building, which was the only option available. The new building was indeed modern, but the beds were uncomfortable, the room was smaller, and there was no phone in the room. To contact staff, we had to use Line. We requested to move back to our original room at 7 AM, where only the master bedroom’s air conditioning was working.
Breakfast was the most shocking part. The selection was extremely limited, with only plain rice porridge, a pot of minced pork with barely any pork, fried eggs, bacon, and sausages. The hotel has a swimming pool, but in the morning, the water had completely drained out. We tried to use the jacuzzi tub, but the power outage rendered it non-functional. In the end, we decided to take photos at the Glass House café behind the building.
In summary, the views are stunning and perfect for photography, but the rooms seem unprepared for guests. It’s a great spot for creating content, but if you’re looking for a comfortable stay, you might want to reconsider. On a positive note, the staff provided excellent service, which was a redeeming factor.
