📜 Past and Present
Panjin Red Beach is one of China's most distinctive wetland landscapes. This magical Red Beach, located at the mouth of the Liao River Delta, is the world's only red coastline. Its formation is due to a plant called "Suaeda salsa." Every year from September to October, the leaves of this plant turn from green to red, creating a spectacular "red carpet" scene.
🚩 Red Beach National Scenic Corridor
Address: Binhai Avenue, Zhaohuanhe Town, Dawa District, Panjin City, Liaoning Province
Opening Hours:
September 1 - September 18: 08:30 - 19:00
September 19 - December 31: 08:30 - 17:30
🏞️ The Disappearance of a Natural Wonder
The scenery here is becoming harder to find year by year. Climate change, rising sea levels, and other factors are causing this most beautiful red coastline in China to gradually shrink. Standing on the wooden boardwalk, you can see the once endless red carpet retreating year by year, making one sigh: this may be a visual feast racing against time.
🌊 Wetland Ecology
The Panjin wetlands, where Red Beach is located, are an important global habitat for migratory birds. Every spring and autumn, millions of migratory birds stop here. Rare species such as the red-crowned crane and black-headed gull feed and rest here, creating a unique ecological symphony. Here, nature and culture coexist harmoniously, making it the most beautiful wetland landscape in northern China.
✨ Travel Tips
1. The best viewing period is from mid-September to mid-October
2. It is recommended to visit in the morning or evening when the light is best for photography
3. Wear non-slip shoes, as there is often mist near the boardwalk
4. Bring a windbreaker, as it is windy by the sea
5. Respect nature and do not trample on the Suaeda salsa plants
This natural wonder, which changes every year and may eventually disappear, is worth experiencing with your heart and recording with your eyes. While it still exists, take an impromptu red journey!
