Oh Apong Café – Where Aesthetic Meets Comfort

#malaysiatrip

If you’re a fan of simple yet flavorful meals, you’ll love the mee hoon with ayam balut at Oh Apong Café in Kota Damansara. This dish is all about letting fresh ingredients shine. The lightly seasoned mee hoon (rice vermicelli) was cooked to perfection—soft yet slightly chewy, with just the right amount of seasoning.

What made the meal truly memorable was the ayam balut (chicken wrapped in banana leaf). The chicken was tender, juicy, and infused with aromatic herbs and spices. The banana leaf not only kept the chicken moist but also added a subtle earthy flavor that complemented the noodles wonderfully. It was a satisfying and wholesome dish that left me wanting more.

The dish’s presentation was also noteworthy—simple but elegant, reflecting the café’s overall aesthetic. It’s clear that Oh Apong Café takes pride in offering food that feels both nourishing and special.
