Adventurous Hiking to Petra Monastery

Petra is an ancient city in rocky mountains in Jordan. Experts indicate that an earthquake and volcanic activity occurred here, forming a big canyon with rocky ravines and steep cliffs.

The highlight is Petra monastery which is the last point and located far and high up. We have to hike on rough trail about 5.5 kms from the visitor center or ticketing gate (11 kms with return). The journey itself is very hard and recommended for fit people, but worth the mesmerizing views.

In addition, with Jordan Pass we don’t need to buy entrance ticket here.
