Discovering Manila's Historic Walled City

#June Travel Support Fund Manila felt like a noisy and unfamiliar city at first, but after a day or two, it was a place where my heart gradually relaxed. Cars were constantly coming and going and the streets were full of energy, but I felt a certain order and warm daily life within it.
The old buildings and quiet cathedrals I saw while walking around Intramuros were an unexpected peace in the middle of the city, while Makati and BGC were great places to relax in a modern landscape.
As I walked through the alleys, I saw many small and simple shops, and in the markets, I could feel the energy of people living lively lives. I could enjoy food without feeling burdened, and most of all, the fact that I could communicate well in English was a great help during my trip.
Manila was not a place where you quickly passed by, but a city with a charm that seeped into me little by little. The more I stayed, the more I grew fond of it.
