[Thailand (Bangkok)] Experience elephant riding in Ayutthaya

There are two elephant riding spots in Ayutthaya!

① Elephant Camp

② Elephant Village

I experienced it at ② Elephant Village!

This place is adjacent to Ayutthaya Floating Market!

About a 20-minute walk from Ayutthaya Station!

But I recommend going there by tuk-tuk or rental bicycle✨

In addition to the elephant riding experience, you can also take commemorative photos with tigers!

There are also plenty of souvenir shops, so you can enjoy a lot! !

【Things to note about elephant riding】

① It's surprisingly shaky! !

▶︎If it's your first time, a short course (about 15 to 20 minutes) might be best!

② It's OK to take photos while riding the elephant, but be careful!

▶︎It seems that in some cases photography is prohibited, but the mahout of the elephant I rode said it was okay to take photos!

However, please be careful not to drop your smartphone!

③ It is essential to pay a tip to the mahout!
▶︎They will take photos for you, so you will be asked to give a tip!

100 baht for the elephant and 100 baht for the mahout!

They let me sit on the elephant's head and took photos for me 🙆♀️

Prices at Elephant Village are negotiable!

They initially said it would be 1500 baht (about 6000 yen) for 30 minutes,

but in the end we got 20 minutes for 600 baht (2400 yen) per person!

Price negotiation is a must!!

If you go to Ayutthaya, elephant riding is a must!!

Please keep the precautions in mind and enjoy your time✨
