Wat Mahathat, Ayutthaya Province

This old temple from the Sukhothai period was originally called “Wat Maha Sathan” or “Wat Maha Chedi”. It is located next to Wat Mahathat on the east side. It is the largest and oldest temple in Ayutthaya Province. It was built by King Borommarachathirat II or Chao Sam Phraya in 1967.
