Visit the Mongkhon Bophit Temple, Ayutthaya

Wihan Mongkhon Bophit is located within the Ayutthaya Historical Park, near Wat Phra Si Sanphet. It enshrines "Phra Mongkhon Bophit", a large bronze Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, one of Thailand's most important Buddha images. It is approximately 12.5 meters high (excluding the base) and 9.55 meters wide. Phra Mongkhon Bophit was originally located outside the temple, but was damaged by a fire during the second fall of Ayutthaya and was restored during the Rattanakosin period. It is now a popular destination for tourists and those who come to pay homage and pray for blessings. 💰Entrance fee: Free
