Temple with a decapitated Buddha head🇹🇭

Wat Maha That

This is a temple famous for its decapitated Buddha head wrapped in bodhi tree roots. It is estimated to have been built around 1370 and was a royal monastery and spiritual center of the city.

It has been restored and expanded several times, but collapsed in 1904 and was restored in 1956 by the Department of Culture and Arts. Important artifacts are now displayed in other museums.
