Wat Mahathat in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province is an ancient site within the Ayutthaya Historical Park. Located in the center of Ayutthaya Island, Tha Wasukri Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, it is a highly significant historical site in Thailand. A highlight is the Buddha head encased in tree roots. The temple itself is enormous, and there's even a replica of the temple in its original state before it was burned down.
