Wat Phutthaisawan, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Wat Phutthaisawan is a highly significant temple in the early Ayutthaya period. It was commissioned by King Ramathibodi I (King Uthong) in 1353, three years after establishing Ayutthaya as the capital. From its founding to the present, Wat Phutthaisawan has been 654 years old.

Since Wat Phutthaisawan is located outside the city island of Ayutthaya, it has been less affected by the various Thai-Burmese wars than other temples located within the city island. Therefore, most of the important structures remain in good condition, with some damage due to deterioration over time.

Over the long history of the temple, the buildings within both the Buddhavasa and Sangthavasa areas of Wat Phutthaisawan have undergone both new developments and renovations, renovating existing structures that had deteriorated over time. Therefore, the remaining structures are significant and hold historical value for future generations to study and learn from. #GetDiscountsWithoutLuck #Ayutthaya #AyutthayaTemples
