#GetDiscountNotDependingOnLuck Wat Phraya Man is a temple built during the Ayutthaya period. The name of the builder is unknown and it is not known when it was built. However, the name of Wat Phraya Man appears in the chronicles of Ayutthaya during the reign of King Phetracha. Before King Phetracha ascended to the throne, he was ordained at Wat Phraya Man. The abbot prophesied that he would ascend to the throne and also gave advice on all monastic duties. Therefore, after King Phetracha ascended to the throne, he thought of the abbot of Wat Phraya Man and proceeded to Wat Phraya Man to pay homage to him. He then ordered the construction of a more permanent monastery. When construction was completed, he graciously held a three-day celebration and appointed the abbot of Wat Phraya Man, Phraya Sri Satchayanamuni, a royal monk of the Khamwasi sect, and presented him with all the ecclesiastical requisites in accordance with his royal rank. Chronicles show that all the buildings that stand today were the work of craftsmen from that period.
