Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island is a world-renowned tourist destination 🏝️, attracting thousands of visitors daily for sightseeing and vacations. Among its many attractions, one standout is the famous Grand World Bamboo Legend, perfect for taking photos and capturing memories. Admission is free, so no tickets are required.
The Grand World Visitor Center on Phu Quoc Island was designed by Vo Trong Nghia Architects. The design team used 42,000 bamboo poles to weave a dense grid structure, creating an arched building that serves as the gateway to the Grand World eco-resort.
The highly versatile bamboo material was bent, combined, and woven into an intricate system, with the roof covered in dense thatch. The overall structure resembles a sculptural form. The bamboo grid gives the building a sense of lightness, facilitating air circulation and enhancing natural lighting. The natural tones and textures of bamboo create a warm and intimate atmosphere.
