Desheng Bridge, located in Guangling District, Yangzhou, is a small east-west street over 100 meters long. In the past, there was an unnamed small stone dry bridge in the eastern part of the street.
According to legend, in the Ming Dynasty, General Chang Yuchun passed by this bridge on his way back from Huaidong in triumph. In order to commemorate his military exploits, he named the bridge " Victory Bridge " . Here, the saying " Riding a horse to the gate in triumph " has been passed down to this day .
Today, Desheng Bridge, besides the Fuchun Tea House, is also home to Yangzhou's most famous " three knives . " Within a few dozen meters of the end of Desheng Bridge Lane, there are over ten knife and scissor shops.
