Northerners always have a special yearning for the sea. A vacation without the ocean always feels incomplete. This time, I chose Phuket, Thailand for a trip with my parents, staying at the Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, which is very close to the airport. We didn't chase after popular attractions or rush through a packed itinerary. We simply wanted my parents to rediscover the poetic beauty of a slower pace of life in this island garden.

🛏Room Amenities:
I booked a pool villa. During check-in, the front desk staff gave us a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities and activities. Then, a golf cart took us to our villa, which was hidden amidst lush greenery, offering a high level of privacy. We had three people in our party, so an extra bed was added, and there was still plenty of space. The natural wood tones created a cozy, home-like atmosphere.

The villas resemble dark, inverted coconut shells, a design that reflects the local character. The black tiles, the color of coconut shells, are not flashy, but blend seamlessly with nature.

🌟Highlights and Features:
There's no need to leave the hotel grounds, as everything from dining to spa treatments is available on-site. The Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa boasts five specialty restaurants, offering Thai cuisine, various seafood dishes, and delicious Western food, satisfying even my parents' Chinese palates.
During our three days and two nights at the Marriott, there was no pressure to "check in" at every attraction. Instead, there was my mother's focus as she collected seashells, and my father's contentment as he lounged on the beach, soaking up the sun. Their curiosity about the world, something we had often overlooked, was rekindled here.
🚉Transportation Guide:
A taxi ride from the hotel to the airport takes about 20 minutes. The front desk can help arrange transportation. If you want to go shopping nearby, the hotel offers a free shuttle service on songthaews at fixed times.
