🌺 Nak-Kerd Seaview Café – A Hidden Gem Just Below the Big Buddha

After visiting the Big Buddha, we stumbled upon Nak-Kerd Seaview Café by chance—and what an unexpected treat it was. Tucked just below the hilltop, this little café offered some of the most stunning views over Karon Beach I’d seen all trip.

The vibe was completely laid-back. Bamboo furniture, flowering plants everywhere, butterflies fluttering around—it felt like a peaceful garden tucked away in the hills. No crowds, no rush. Just calm.

We grabbed a table by the edge of the terrace, overlooking the sweeping coastline. I ordered a Pad Thai and a cappuccino, and while the food wasn’t fancy, it was exactly what I needed—simple, tasty, and comforting. The coffee came with a little sweet pastry and even an orchid for a nice touch. You could tell this wasn’t just thrown together; there was care in every detail.

What made it even more special was the warmth of the people running it. The owner even brought us fresh bananas from the garden, just because. That kind of hospitality stays with you.

There’s no air-conditioning, so it can get warm during the day, but honestly, the breeze and the view more than made up for it. It’s a small place, so if you want a good seat by the edge, come early or mid-morning after visiting the Big Buddha.

I didn’t plan to linger, but I ended up sitting there for almost an hour just soaking in the scenery. It’s one of those quiet, beautiful spots you remember—not just for the food or the view, but for how it made you feel. Peaceful, present, and happy to just be there.
