Today, I would like to recommend a place to eat fresh seafood at a reasonable price in Patong. It is Banzaan Market.
- Banzaan Market is located in Tambon Patong, Amphoe Kathu, Phuket. The market is located near Robinson Patong, opposite the boxing stadium.
- The market has 2 floors. The lower floor sells fresh seafood that you can choose yourself how much you want. Lobsters that are still wriggling, sea bass that are still swimming, so they are fresh. Another thing is that the seafood in this market is very reasonably priced for Thais like us. If you want to eat fresh, big lobsters, I recommend this place. It is not expensive and really fresh.
- Lobsters are 600 baht per kilogram here, but if you go to eat at the beach or at a restaurant that sells to Westerners, it is 1,000-1,200 baht per kilogram and they are not as fresh as here. The price is half. On the other side of the market, there are various fresh vegetables for sale. We can choose to buy them.
- When we choose fresh seafood downstairs, we take it to the restaurant on the 2nd floor to have it cooked. They will have a menu for us to choose from. The cost of cooking is 250-300 baht per kilogram. All together, it is still cheaper than other places, plus we get to eat fresh seafood.
