The most stunning part of this Pingtan trip was staying at this Hidden Sea Cliffside Guesthouse! Opening the window reveals an unobstructed sea view, and after the tide recedes, you can walk just 1 minute to a private beach. Every photo looks like a magazine cover shot 🌊 If Pingtan is the "Maldives of Fujian," then Hidden Sea is the brightest pearl in this sea area~
📍 About the location
· Hidden atop the cliff in Tianjiaowei Village, just search "Tianjiaodi Village No. 27" on your map to get there directly
· Very close to Tannan Bay and Elephant Trunk Bay, only a 15-minute taxi ride to popular check-in spots
· Extremely private, completely avoiding tourist crowds, truly a place to "lie down and watch the tides rise and fall"
🛏️ Stay experience
Waking up every morning gently to the sound of the waves is so healing! The 180° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows frame the blue sea and sky like a dynamic oil painting. Here are some highlights of the amazing design:
· Cliffside infinity pool: seamlessly connected to the sea level, swimming at sunrise feels like floating on the ocean
· Cave-style arched terrace: perfect for afternoon tea and snapping Santorini-style photos
· Sunken sea view bathtub: soak while gazing at the stars and sea
📸 Photo tips
1. Sunrise (5:30-6:00)
- Wear a white dress and take silhouette photos at the pool edge
- Use the exposed reef at low tide as a natural backdrop
2. 3-5 PM
- Order a mojito at the outdoor bar, use a straw hat + sunglasses as props
3. Blue hour (30 minutes after sunset)
- Turn on the moon lamp in the room and shoot the night sea view through the glass
👨👩👧 Family bonus
Families with kids must choose the "Family Slide Room"! It has an indoor ball pit and the kids’ favorite slide.
✨ Hidden services
· Free travel photography: book in advance and the housekeeper will arrange a professional photographer
· Tide hunting tools: borrow small buckets and shovels from the front desk at low tide
⚠️ Notes
· Renting a car is recommended as there are few delivery options in the village (but the guesthouse’s scallion oil squid is highly recommended!)
· Check the tide schedule in advance; the beach only appears at low tide
· Bring plenty of sunscreen in summer; the sea breeze + UV rays are double the damage
Now I finally understand why everyone says "You haven’t truly been to Pingtan until you’ve stayed at Hidden Sea." When the first ray of morning sunlight passes through the sea mist and falls on the bedside, you suddenly realize how romantic the poem "Facing the sea, with spring blossoms" really is~
