Opening the door to the sea, I found the perfect spot to unwind and daydream~

Staying at Sea Level | Ximo Lost Villa Yuxi Seaview Homestay in Pingtan Island, Fuzhou

Just returned from Pingtan after staying two nights at Ximo Lost Villa Yuxi Seaview Homestay. Sharing my genuine experience for those seeking a tranquil seaside retreat or fellow high school graduates like me.

① Location: The homestay is located at No. 64-1, Jiaowei Village, Aoqian, Pingtan, Fujian.
② Quietness: Far from the county town and southern tourist areas, it’s incredibly peaceful—just the sound of waves, wind, and your own breathing. Perfect for escaping the world and focusing on yourself.
③ Transportation tips: Strongly recommend driving! The homestay offers pickup services! After booking, the butler will arrange pickup to a designated location, and staff will meet you. Luggage is transported via electric cart, so no need to drag suitcases across the beach.

🛏 Room Review (I stayed in the Twilight·Sunset Bathtub Seaview King Room):
1⃣️ Floor-to-ceiling sea-view windows: The highlight of the homestay, offering 180° unobstructed ocean views—the best spot for sunrise and sunset photos. Weather is everything! Clear days bring picturesque blue seas, while cloudy days are gray. On windy days, keep the windows closed.
2⃣️ Design: Simple and romantic, with gray, white, and cream tones. Spacious and immaculately clean. The bathroom has a dry-wet separation design with ample hot water. Basic amenities (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.) are provided. The common area sofa is the prime daydreaming spot, offering great privacy. No need to worry about disturbances. Soundproofing is excellent—even on windy days, the sound of waves is barely noticeable indoors.

🍽 Dining & Service:
✔️ Breakfast: Chinese-style (congee, steamed buns, eggs, pickles, soy milk/milk…), served in the common area with sea views. A lovely breakfast to start the day!
✔️ Service: The butler is responsive (via WeChat), friendly, and helpful with check-in guidance, route advice, and updates on blue tears (bioluminescent plankton).

🌪 Pingtan Specials:
Blue Tears: Not controlled by the homestay. If it’s peak season and the weather is clear during your stay, the butler will inform you of nearby viewing spots (within walking or short driving distance).
💰 Value for Money:
I booked the Twilight·Sunset Bathtub Seaview King Room.
Worth it? Depends on your priorities:
For unobstructed sea views + ultimate tranquility → Absolutely worth it.

Why I loved it: The true serenity of sleeping by the sea. Ideal for road-trippers, sea-view enthusiasts, and couples or friends seeking relaxation.
Pack your bags, along with the laid-back vibe soaked in sea breeze. Pingtan has many seas, but the window at Ximo Lost Villa Yuxi Seaview Homestay framed my own private tranquility. It’s unpretentious and unhurried, simply existing quietly—letting me watch the sea, listen to the wind, and be with myself. When the tide recedes, it takes not just sand but perhaps also accumulated fatigue. This, perhaps, is the simplest healing power of facing the sea!
